I always know I like a band when I start to wish I was in it. However, I know I really like that band when I get jealous that they wrote those songs before I could. That’s the way I feel about Wild Nothing’s ‘Golden Haze EP’.
Combining so many of my favorite musical elements into one lazy day, dream-pop sound and then filling an EP with five great tunes that work together as a whole makes me feel almost as if the record was made for me (or should’ve been made by me [there I go again]).
The beauty is that essentially Wild Nothing is just one man, Jack Tatum. That means that if I follow him around enough maybe he’ll let me play with them on tour. Either way, I’ll know the songs because they’ve been on repeat wherever I go for weeks.
